Enhanced Online Security

American Chartered Bank strives to employ security enhancements that are designed to keep your information protected from fraud and identity theft while ensuring that our Online Banking products remain convenient and easy to use. We have activated Layered Authentication, an additional layer of security for the Consumer Online Banking and eCorp login processes.

How it works

Consumer Online Banking

All Consumer Online Banking clients are required to use the new Enhanced Online Security login process. Upon the first login, clients are prompted to complete a number of activities in order to initiate the new process.

Enhanced Online Security verifies your identity in two ways. Every time you log in to Online Banking, the bank identifies you through your log in information and it lets you identify the bank using a private image and pass phrase of your choice. Learn more!

eCorp

eCorp clients will receive Business Security Tokens. Specific activation instructions are provided in the letter accompanying the tokens.

Business Security Tokens verify your identity in two ways. Every time you log in to eCorp, the bank identifies you through your log in information and it lets you identify the bank using a security token that generates a one time password and site authentication value every time you log in. Learn more!

Authentication Image and Pass Phrase

Authentication Images and Pass Phrases are a Consumer Online Banking security feature designed to protect the privacy and security of your personal information. The display of the Authentication Image and Pass Phrase verifies you are at our web site, not a fraudulent look-alike site. The Challenge Questions and Answers are used to identify you and protect unauthorized access to your information.

When using a non-registered computer, one of your security questions is used to help verify your identity, as well as verify that you have been registered in Layered Authentication. When prompted, enter your answer to the questions. At this point you may also select the option to register this computer to be used for regular access to your accounts.
